Description
A very simple and straight forward methode for connecting digital in- and output signal to a PC is realized with our new product family USB-Opto Reed. Up to 16 potential free in- or output channels are available. The connection is done without screwing or soldering using clemp connectors
Base of this device family is the USB-Opto 8. This device is equipped with 8 opto coupler input channels. The insulation voltage is well above 5.000 V. The opto coupler is operated @ 1,2V/10mA. The connectors are labeled with Gnd and +.
If additional opto input channels are needed, a second input circuit with another 8 channels is available.
Onother option are 4 or 8 relais output channels which could be added to the base device. The relais are available with closing or if needed with change over contacts.The reed relais are high reliability Meder® relais. The relais are capable to switch 0.5A @ 30V.

All of our USB devices will operate without installing drivers. The ones that are deliverd with the operating system are fully sufficient. Modern Linux variants runs our products seamless.
The device could be controlled with the included software „Cleware Control“. It will run with any Windows®- operating system with USB support. Also included are command line tools for easy access from customer software. For more integrated solutions, a DLL -Control ist available. Examples in VC++, VB, Linux and Delphi are ready for download for free.
The USB-OptoReed Series uses a 85 x 55 x 45 mm housing. The USB cable is about 2 m long. A 3.7 m long USB cable is available on request. The devices are for indoor usage only and must be protect against humidity. The operating temperature range is -20°* and +80° Celsius.
Multiple devices could be driven and identified on one PC because all of our USB devices got a unique serial number. This could be used accessing the device.
CAUTION:
PC-Software always contains errors or could be manilpulated from other software. Our USB-devices should not be used in cases where the function will harm people!
